The Vattikuti Fellowship : A commitment to your future
From the Desk of Vattikuti Foundation CEO Dr. Mahendra Bhandari
The Vattikuti Foundation firmly believes in leveraging a quality surgical education, coupled with utilizing medical technology to lift up the standards of patient care. Our highly branded, one-year Fellowship Program is designed to suit the needs of young Indian surgeons, who can see beyond qualification and degrees and are looking forward to scaling the depth of excellence pursued with passion in their specialty. After an intense and meticulous process, we handpick our Mentor Surgeons on the basis of their credentials, quality, volume of work and their track record of giving their best to their mentees. Our Fellowships are totally trainee centric, and the entire effort is to train our Vattikuti Fellows to their maximum satisfaction and ability. The unique feature of our program is the ultimate right of the Fellow as per his merit to choose his own Mentor.
Our Mentors over the past several years have not only given their best of surgical skills to the Fellows, but have groomed them as mature, academic and humane self-critical surgeons. Our current search is for candidates desirous to pursue their careers in the fields of urological cancer, Gynecological cancers, Head and Neck cancers, Robotic Kidney Transplantation, Surgical Oncology and Colorectal surgery. All of the mentor institutions have the state of art modalities to treat patients, including well developed da Vinci robotic surgery programs. Besides mastering surgical skills in their chosen specialty, the Fellows are expected to actively participate in Vattikuti Collaborative Quality Initiative (VCQI) during their tenure. The VCQI is a high quality multi-institutional prospective database, developing analytical and statistical skills working with our expert partners. Vattikuti Fellows, and other independent researchers share the collective data at national and international fora. The Fellowships have additional benefits of participants presenting their work at recognized international and national meetings. It gives them an opportunity to interact with the top global authorities and exposes them to the best in their field.
Our end points for this Fellowship Program are very simple:
- We identify passionate candidates - Train them intensively with the best possible mentors - Facilitate the realization of their dreams
The Foundation is committed to support your passion in achieving the best in your life. Our commitment with our Fellows is longitudinal and for a lifetime. The Foundation maintains a record and tracks our alumni. In turn, our alumni have become partners in our mission by conducting patient educational webinars, supporting the VCQI database and in assisting the Foundation on various endeavors, including adjudicating entries for the K.S Robotic Surgery Video Awards.
