KIMS Successfully Completes Over 100 Robotic Surgeries

Hyderabad, India - Earlier this year, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hyderabad completed over 100 cases in robotic surgery. KIMS is the first hospital in Andhra Pradesh to use the da Vinci Surgical System for treating patients. They can benefit by less blood loss, less time spent at the hospital and quicker recovery time.

Since its inception, the KIMS Vattikuti Robotic Surgery Institute has trained surgeons with Intuitive Surgical, held workshops to train surgeons first hand at Asian Heart, and participated in a two week Road Show, where Dr. Mani Menon, Distinguished Chair of the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, USA toured six Vattikuti Robotic Surgery Institutes.

KIMS Vattikuti Robotic Surgery Institute performs surgeries in urology, gynecology, oncology, general and bariatric surgeries.
