Vattikuti Fellow Receives Awards at the Advancements in Endourology (AIE) 2025 Conference

11 January 2026

Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, VF CEO, and a team from ORSI Academy were in Ahmedabad this past December to support the 7th Advancements in Endourology (AIE) 2025 Conference. They provided the latest information on AI, which included live surgical procedures televised to the Conference. In addition, staff from the Vattikuti Foundation Detroit office took part. Several hundred surgeons from across India attended.

We are proud to share that as part of the Conference, Vattikuti Fellow Dr. Atanu Kumar Pal, studying under Dr. Kishore TA at Aster Medicity in Kochi earned honors and made presentations in two categories. He sent this report to the Foundation recently:

"The 7th Advancements in Endourology (AIE) 2025 Conference, held in Ahmedabad, was a truly enriching academic experience. The conference stood out as a comprehensive academic extravaganza, seamlessly integrating live operative demonstrations, high-quality scientific sessions, interactions with eminent national and international faculty, and excellent networking opportunities.

"I had the opportunity to present our work titled “Suture versus Sutureless Robotic Retroperitoneal Robot-assisted Partial Nephrectomy using Veriset™ Hemostatic Patch: A Propensity Score–Matched Comparative Analysis from a Single Centre.”The presentation focused on comparing perioperative outcomes between conventional renorrhaphy and a sutureless approach using Veriset™ hemostatic patch, highlighting its potential role in reducing warm ischemia and console time and procedure-related morbidity like pseudoaneurysm formation in robotic partial nephrectomy.

"I am honored to share that this work received the Dr. Mani Menon Best Robotic Uro-Oncology Award – 2nd Prize, an award that recognizes excellence and innovation in the field of robotic uro-oncology and carries special significance due to Dr. Mani Menon’s pioneering contributions to robotic surgery.

"My heartfelt gratitude to my mentor of the Vattikuti Fellowship in Aster Medcity, Kochi, Dr. Kishore TA for his invaluable guidance, unwavering support, and constant encouragement. I am sincerely grateful to the Vattikuti Foundation for their continued support and for fostering academic growth and innovation in robotic surgery. I extend my sincere thanks to the organisers of AIE 2025 for this opportunity.

"The learning, recognition, and inspiration gained at AIE 2025 have further strengthened my commitment to contributing meaningfully to the advancing fields of uro-oncology and robotic urology.

"I thank you very much for the opportunity."

All of us at the Vattikuti Foundation greatly appreciate the effort Dr. Pal has put into his Fellowship, and congratulate him on his awards! We also thank Dr. Alexandre Mottrie and his team from ORSI Academy for sharing their knowledge in Ahmedabad and other cities during the VF Road Show this past December.
