Placental Derived Allografts and Radical Prostatectomy Surgery

Placental derived allografts implanted during radical prostatectomy surgery have been shown to provide benefits in both continence and erectile dysfunction for many patients. The research was published in the Journal of Robotic Surgery on June 18, 2022. The results reported are from a team from six institutions, including Advent Health Global Robotics Institute and Harvard.

"This review reveals a benefit from human placental allograft's ability to hasten post RP functional recovery, without impacting oncological control."
