568 Robotic Mitrofanoff with Pubovaginal sling for Neurogenic incontinence- Case of a young obese female with paraparesis and intrinsic sphincter deficiency
Dr. Sidhartha Kalra
Problem: A young obese female with paraparesis and neurogenic bladder was unable to perform perurethral CIC due to poor dexterity and perineal hypoesthesia. She remained dependent on a long-term indwelling catheter, which adversely affected her health and mental well-being. Surgical planning was complicated by central obesity and a thick abdominal pannus, making exteriorization of a Mitrofanoff channel technically challenging. Rectus sheath harvesting for sling was avoided due to body habitus, requiring an alternative graft. Procedure Innovation, Urologic Surgery
