667 Ultra Minimally Invasive Single Port Robot-Assisted Pyeloplasty

Dr. Federico Lavagno

This case series evaluated the Supine Anterior Retroperitoneal Access (SARA) technique for single-port (SP) robot-assisted pyeloplasty in nine patients with ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction. The SARA approach utilizes a single 3-cm incision to access the retroperitoneum, avoiding the abdominal cavity. Results showed the technique is safe and efficient, with a median operative time of 144 minutes, minimal blood loss, and no major complications. Patient recovery was rapid, with low pain and discharge within 2-3 days. The SARA approach for SP pyeloplasty is a practical, effective, and minimally invasive solution with excellent surgical outcomes.
