684 Multi-Quadrant Robotic Nephroureterectomy and Radical Cystoprostatectomy with Right Distal Ureterectomy for Multifocal Urothelial Carcinoma
Dr. Satya Darmala
Background: Multifocal urothelial carcinoma involving the upper urinary tract and bladder poses significant surgical challenges. Open approaches are morbid, while conventional minimally invasive techniques often struggle with multi-quadrant access. The Da Vinci Xi robotic platform enables seamless transition across quadrants, facilitating complex oncologic resections with precision and safety. Case Capsule: We present a 58-year-old male with hematuria and imaging/biopsy-confirmed high-grade multifocal urothelial carcinoma involving the bladder, left upper ureter, renal pelvis, and right distal ureter. FDG PET-CT revealed no distant metastases. Following multidisciplinary consensus, upfront surgical management was pursued.
