Vattikuti Foundation hosts its
Late Shri Krishnaswamy Subrahmaniam
Named in honor of the late Shri Krishnaswamy Subrahmaniam (“KS”), former CEO of Vattikuti Technologies, the awards recognize his pivotal role in advancing robotic surgery in India and worldwide. The KS International Innovation Awards (KSA) serve as a global platform celebrating breakthroughs achieved through the integration of human expertise, robotic technology, and surgical data science.

Vattikuti Foundation acknowledges and awards excellence in cash prizes and public awareness to participants include surgeons, engineers, and scientists utilizing robotics and emerging technologies to perform complex procedures with demonstrated improvements in patient outcomes and potential to become standards of care.
Each application cycle receives hundreds of entries that undergo a rigorous evaluation process by judges made up of clinicians and faculty from institutions worldwide who volunteer their expertise to evaluate and rank the top entries.
By the final stage, each submission will have been reviewed and scored by more than a dozen independent surgeons. Evaluations focused on high-definition, narrated mini-movies clearly presenting objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Winners are not notified in advance.
People’s Choice Award
Public engagement is also central to the awards. Each year, the jury selects up to 40 top entries which are available on the Vattikuti Foundation’s digital platform for public voting.
Through this process in 2025, 10,643 participants from more than 50 countries cast 17,227 votes, expanding global awareness of innovative surgical research and amplifying the reach of scientific advancement.
Over the past three competitions, 120 entries eligible for People’s Choice award were played 24,368 times, with 44% of the videos were looked at in their entirety. This equated to over 1,100 hours of viewing time.
