Friday Section 8-12 Vattikuti Explorers’ Innovators Challenge

Bold ideas from young innovators took center stage in this session, one of the most distinctive parts of the Vattikuti Innovation in Medicine Summit. Teams from across the globe, participants in the Vattikuti Explorers Program, spent months developing solutions aimed at improving communication between doctors and patients, and the five strongest teams were invited to present their work live in Miami. The session showcases five original concepts, Asclepius & Alexiates, Medibridge, PatientPal, Qrated, and The E & A Effect, each tackling the doctor-patient communication gap from a different angle using digital health thinking and early-stage design work. Presenters walked judges and the audience through their reasoning, prototypes, and the real-world problems that inspired each idea, while a panel of experienced mentors and judges offered feedback rooted in years of clinical and innovation experience. This session will resonate with medical students, digital health entrepreneurs, and mentors interested in early-stage healthcare innovation, as well as anyone curious about how the next generation is approaching patient communication. Some of these concepts may eventually take shape as real tools, making this a genuine look at healthcare innovation in its earliest, most creative stage.
