Miami Friday Session 20: Urology 2

Advancing the future of urologic surgery through robotics and precision planning, this session tackles four cases at the more complex end of reconstructive and oncologic urology. The discussion opens with robotic-assisted management of ureteral complications following kidney transplantation, addressing a challenge that can threaten graft function if not resolved carefully. From there, the conversation turns to a 3D virtual model built to support robot-assisted partial nephrectomy in complex hilar renal tumors, illustrating how preoperative modeling can improve planning for anatomically difficult kidney-sparing surgery. The session continues with a robotic level-3 inferior vena cava thrombectomy using suprahepatic control, one of the more technically demanding procedures in urologic oncology, before closing with a novel non-transecting anastomotic augmentation ureteroplasty technique known as the Joshi step.
