Robotic Assisted Left transaxillary Thyroidetomy_Edited

In this video, we see a left transaxillary robotic thyroidectomy performed by Dr Babu Manohar on a 23 year old female. Dr. Babu Manohar eliminates the neck scar by accessing the cancerous thyroid gland through an incision under the arm. That incision is 5-7cm long. There’s another very small incision—5mm—in the chest. The robotic thyroidectomy is done using the daVinci Surgical System, a system that’s been used in many other robot-assisted surgeries with much success. He shows the external video of patient positioning, marking the patient for dissection, and port placement and also the internal surgical video with the daVinci robotic camera.
