576 Robotic Single Port Mediastinal Mass Resection
Dr. Manu Sanchetti
Robotic technology has commonly been employed for the resection of mediastinal masses for several years with excellent outcomes as it relates to postoperative recovery. Historically, the procedure involves multiport technology with multiple trocars placed in various intercostal spaces. The Single Port Robotic System developed by Intuitive allows for robotic surgeries to be performed via a single 3-4 cm incision. In this video, we present the utilization of the Intuitive Single Port Robot for resection of an anterior mediastinal mass via a subxiphoid approach.
