577 Recurrent Aggressive Angiomyxoma of Pelvis: A Rare Case
Dr. Rohit Raghunath Ranade
Recurrent aggressive angiomyxoma is a slightly uncommon tumor of the female pelvis. It mainly arised from the muscles of the pelvic floor and grows deep into the pelvic spaces and may involve strutures like nerves, blood vessels, ureter, bladder and the rectum. The depth of the tumor along with involvement of so many vascular structures makes it difficult to be operated upon by open surgery. The robotic system because of its inherent advantages like long articulating instruments, better camera vision provides a much better access to the mass and helped in the excision of the mass carefully without damage to the surrounding vital structures.
