589 Robotic-Assisted Revision TKR for Failed Unicondylar Knee Replacement
Dr. Suhas Masilamani
Unicondylar knee replacement (UKR) is an established treatment for anteromedial osteoarthritis, offering advantages such as natural knee kinematics and faster rehabilitation. However, early failures remain a challenge due to strict patient selection criteria and narrow surgical tolerance. Revision of failed UKR is typically performed manually, often resulting in significant bone loss and the need for medial augments. This video demonstrates the first documented use of MAKO robotic assistance for revision TKR following a failed unicondylar knee replacement in India.
