670 Supine retroperitoneal single-port nephroureterectomy

Dr. Federico Lavagnl

This study evaluates the SARA (Supine Anterior Retroperitoneal Access) technique for single-port (SP) robotic nephroureterectomy in 18 patients. The cohort, with a mean age of 71 years, had high comorbidities (median CCI 6). The median operative time was 275 minutes, with minimal blood loss (<30 ml in 17 cases) and zero postoperative transfusions. The intraoperative complication rate was 33%, mainly peritoneal breaches. The average hospital stay was 5-6 days, with a predictable reduction of the eGFR from 64 to 50 at discharge. The SARA approach proves to be a feasible technique for complex oncological cases.
