Raj and Padma established Vattikuti Foundation in 1997, a “Not for Profit” organization with the laser focus on improving the quality of human life by bringing robotic surgery to the world and introducing several social empowerment initiatives in India.

Raj Vattikuti is an American-Indian entrepreneur, business executive and philanthropist. He has founded a string of successful enterprises including Altimetrik, Covansys, Synova, Vattikuti Ventures, Vattikuti Technologies, and Davinta Technologies. Raj Firmly believes that enterprises make a difference not only by leveraging or implementing emerging technologies, but also by attracting, evaluating, and transforming talent within their organisations leading to holistic development. Raj has been in the forefront to support some of the leading global players in healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, retail, travel hospitality, and financial services.

In 1997, Raj founded a non-profit corporation, along with his wife Padma—the Vattikuti Foundation. The Foundation serves communities in Michigan and India. In Michigan, the Foundation established the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Health in Detroit and the Vattikuti Digital Breast Diagnostic Center at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak. In India, the Vattikuti Foundation focuses on developing the social and economic infrastructure to connect, coordinate and uplift people below the poverty line through the Poverty Alleviation Program. The Foundation also works with other causes around the globe. In April 2020, he donated $400,000 to facilitate – in partnership with the Henry Ford Health System and the City of Detroit – on-site COVID-19 testing for all residents of the city’s 126 nursing homes and senior assisted living facilities. Raj is a graduate of the College of Engineering, Guindy with a degree in electrical engineering.

Padma Raj Vattikuti is an American-Indian philanthropist. Born and raised in India, Padma came to the United States in 1978, and currently spends her time considerably in South-Eastern Michigan and Florida. She has been instrumental in founding the Vattikuti Foundation in 1997 along with her husband, Raj Vattikuti. The Foundation has been serving various socio- economic causes in Michigan, India and in many other parts of the world. She believes that giving back to the society and helping the underprivileged is one of the most critical job, and doing it successfully and consistently has given her the greatest joy. Padma has an undergraduate degree in sciences from RA University in Hyderabad, India and a master’s degree in biochemistry, genetics and nutrition from Venkateswara University, India.

Mrs. Vattikuti has served on boards of Merrill Palmer Institute, Red-Cross Southeastern Michigan Chapter, Michigan Asian Business Council and a council member of Arts of Asia and Islamic art at the Detroit Institute Art. As a connoisseur of art and culture, Padma spends her time actively in restoring different facets of history through various exhibitions and museum restoration activities. Indian classical music has also been very close to her heart. In Detroit, the Vattikutis sponsored an outstanding exhibition of The Private World of India’s Mughal Emperors from the Chester Beatty Library collection. She has actively collected Indian and Southeast Asian art for over the past two decades.

June 30th, 2017 | Raj and Padma Vattikuti Participate in U. S. Smithsonian Institution Exhibit

We are pleased to share the news that Vattikuti Foundation founders Raj and Padma Vattikuti are participants in an exhibit that is scheduled to run for twenty years in the (US) National Museum of American History* located in Washington Raj and Padma Vattikuti Participate in U. S. Smithsonian Institution Exhibit, D. C., their adopted nation’s capital.  Called Many Voices, One Nation, the exhibit opened to the public on June 28, 2017.


The display features 500 years of artifacts and history from immigrants who came to the United States from all over the globe.  Thirty-one individuals are the subject of interviews on the National Museum of American History website (some as couples- including Raj and Padma).  Additional personal items on display are included from Vattikuti Urology Institute Director Dr. Mani Menon and Vattikuti Foundation CEO, Dr. Mahendra Bhandari.

We are extremely happy to share that Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced that Raj Vattikuti, Executive Chairman of Altimetrik is named an Entrepreneur of The Year® 2020 National Award winner following his selection as a Michigan and Northwest Ohio regional award winner in October.

 

The Entrepreneur of The Year Awards program is one of the preeminent competitive awards for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies. Raj Vattikuti was one of 13 national winners announced on Thursday, November 19, during a virtual awards celebration.
