ISS Surgical Robot First Test is Successful

The Virtual Incision MIRA surgical robot, first-ever to be tested in Space at the International Space Station, was successful in the first test just days after arriving at the ISS. Surgeons from the University of Nebraska were able to manipulate the MIRA through a series of procedures with rubber bands as the 'tissue.'
