New Robotic Surgery Video Channel

24 October 2025

While we are pleased to have an extensive listing of robotic surgery videos on our website, we are happy to share the news that Vattikuti Fellowship Alumni Dr. Vasantharaja Ramasamy has built his own YouTube video channel, the "Robotic Surgery & Laser Urology Channel."

When accessing this relatively new channel, one will find a growing collection of urologic surgery videos comprising various procedures from 1:38- to 19- minutes in length. Each video has a written description included, but of the ones we viewed, none was narrated. (Not all 12- videos were evaluated.) From his LinkedIn announcement:

Dr. Ramasamy was kind enough to write this article on how his Vattikuti Fellowship, at the Chennai Urology and Robotics Institutute (CURI), with Mentor Surgeon Dr. Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman influenced his career:

Grateful to the Vattikuti Foundation:

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Vattikuti Foundation, under whose esteemed program I completed my Fellowship in Uro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery in 2021. This Fellowship has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey, providing invaluable exposure, mentorship, and hands-on experience in the field of robotic surgery.

The training and guidance I received have significantly enhanced my surgical expertise and broadened my perspective in advanced urological care. This strong foundation has also inspired me to contribute to academic growth and knowledge sharing through the launch of my YouTube channel – “Robotic Surgery and Laser Urology”. The channel serves as a platform to share surgical videos, promote continuous learning, and foster global collaboration among urologists and robotic surgeons.

I remain deeply thankful to the Vattikuti Foundation for their unwavering commitment to advancing robotic surgery worldwide and for playing a pivotal role in my career development. I look forward to continuing this journey of innovation, education, and global knowledge exchange in the field of robotic surgery.

We congratulate Vasantharaja on his new effort at sharing his knowledge with other colleagues. As for the next round of fellowship opportunities, we anticipate applications re-opening for the Vattikuti Fellowships mid-2026. Please look for announcements next year on our website and social media.
