Mani Menon To Receive AUA Ramon Guiteras Award

Longtime member of the Vattikuti Foundation Family, Dr. Mani Menon has been selected by the American Urological Association to receive one of its most prestigious awards. From the AUA press release:

"The Ramon Guiteras Award is presented to an individual for outstanding contributions to the art and science of urology. Mani Menon, MD, will receive this award for pioneering contributions in robotics resulting in a paradigm shift for the surgical treatment of prostate cancer."

Mani Menon, MD developed the very first robotic prostatectomy with his team at the Vattikuti Urology Institute, Henry Ford Hospital. The VIP (Vattikuti Institute Prostatectomy) changed surgery forever, and has been continually revised to now be known as the Menon Precision Prostatectomy.

Dr. Menon will receive the award when the AUA annual meeting convenes in Washington, D.C., May 2026. Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, CEO of the Vattikuti Foundation remarked on his friend and colleague's new award: "All of us at the Vattikuti Foundation celebrate this well-deserved honor. Congratulations!"
