Established in 1997 by Raj and Padma Vattikuti, the Vattikuti Foundation carries out many socially relevant programmes, such as providing Scholarships to meritorious, but poor students in the Kunigal and Gubbi Taluks. Every year, this scholarship is given to those who pass the SSLC examination in the previous year. The Scholarship is provided by the Vattikuti Foundation's Indian Initiative and covers the course and hostel fees of the awardees. The funding remains available throughout the pursuit of studies up to any level sought by the student.
