Session 5: Partial Nephrectomy in Anomalous Kidneys, Humans on the Cutting Edge of Robotic Surgery

 

The Vattikuti Foundation sponsored a gathering of some of the most significant surgeons in Robotic Surgery on November 19, 2022, for the Vattikuti Robotic Surgery Symposium: Humans on the Cutting Edge of Robotic Surgery, in Miami. Eleven sessions focused on various topics and specialties, with surgeons from all specialties taking part.

 

Session 5, Partial Nephrectomy in Anomalous Kidneys, features three videos, and is Moderated by Drs. Akshay Bhandari and Ketan Madani. The first video, presented by Dr. Diana Lopatigui, Dept. of Urology, Mt. Sinai Medical CENTER, Miami is: ‘Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy in ectopic pelvic kidney;’ The second, presented by Prof. Alessandro Volpe, Chairman, Division of Urology, University of Eastern Piedmont Maggiore della Casita Hospital, is: ‘RAPN in a horseshoe kidney;’ Dr. Ashwin Mallya (former Vattikuti Fellow), Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery, Consultant, Urology & Robotic Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, presented ‘Double Trouble!
