Dave J. Rosa, VP Intuitive Surgical RSC Remarks
Intuitive Surgical Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer Dave Rosa spoke to the November 2017 Robotic Surgeons Council of India (RSC). He talked about relationships: “It’s about the people. Nothing happens without you in this room.” He recognized some of the surgeons in the room, and how they have become world leaders in developing robotic surgery procedures.
Rosa, who has been with the company for over 22-years, gave examples of upcoming robotic surgery products and how Intuitive plans to support the growing robotic surgery community in India. Regarding new product development, he hinted to the surgeons in the audience that “Our mission at Intuitive is nowhere near over, it is- we are scratching the surface about what I believe technology can bring to surgery and medicine as a whole…”
This is an excellent way to learn about what’s new in robotic surgery from a top leader at the company that produces the most successful computer assisted surgical robots in use today. (Via a short video, he reveals a new direction in surgical technology which was truly exciting to see.)
