Our Experiments With (da Vinci) Xi

Dr. Gagan Prakash, Assistant Professor, Dept of Uro-oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, shares his experience of over two years with the Intuitive Surgical da Vinci XI Surgical System. India’s first Xi was installed at Tata Memorial in November, 2014. Dr. Prakash shows the Robotic Surgeons Council of India several novel ways the Xi has been used, including keeping the patient cart on one side of a patient, while performing surgical procedures on both the left and right sides- and while using the same robotic ports.
