Dr. Sujit K. Chowdhary is Senior Consultant (Pediatric Urology) and Director, Pediatric Sciences, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He tells the Robotic Surgeons Council of India (RSC) that while pediatric ureteric implantation is one of the commonest surgeries in his sub-specialty, “I realized that the variety is tremendous.”
He shows robotic surgery footage and describes his robotic techniques for three different pediatric patients’ unique conditions. “There are many more applications of the robotic… technique… and (it) appears to be the approach of the future.”
