IRUS + 2011

International Robotic Urology Symposium

The International Robotic Urology Symposium + (IRUS+) has held in between January13-16, 2011 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. This event was hosted by Vattikuti Urology Institute in collaboration with the Vattikuti Foundation. The International Robotic Urology Symposium (IRUS) is an annual conference which featuring the latest in robotic urologic surgery presented through intensive courses and leading robotic surgeons.

Dr Mani Menon who is pioneering robotic surgeon was the event's program director. IRUS has provided the platform for the leading minds in the field of robotic urology to come together and exchange their ideas on minimally invasive urologic surgery. The symposium attracts surgeons, urology specialists, nurses, operating room coordinators, hospital administrators, and residents from around the world.

Vattikuti Urology Institute in the field of minimally invasive surgery has allowed IRUS to host more than 35 faculty members including many of the world's prominent robotic surgeons. The International Robotic Urology Symposium (IRUS) included:

- Live surgeries and 3D surgical video sessions.

- Lectures and plenary sessions covering topics such as prostate, bladder, kidney, pediatrics and alternative therapies.

- Comparing different techniques between surgeons as they operate.
