Since 2015, every Robotic Surgeons Council of India meeting has featured the KS National Robotic Surgery Video Awards, to commemorate the memory of Late Shri K. Subrahmanian, CEO of Vattikuti Technologies, who played a significant role in establishing robotic surgery in India.

The Finalist videos are selected for presentation and then screened at the RSC meeting; an international panel of independent robotic surgeons judge the videos for the Awards. A monetary prize is awarded for the first three placements.

2020 - 2021

2020 Virtual KS Awards were virtually hosted by the Vattikuti foundation on two separate dates. The 30st of January 2021 the eight finalist videos were screened- videos were the top entries- as selected by a panel of 20- judges from India & the United States.
These videos were adjudicated by both a panel of robotic surgeons and the audience of dozens of surgeons during the screening.

On Saturday, February 6th 2021 the winners were revealed. Robotic Surgery Pioneer Dr. Mani Menon, Entrepreneur/Philanthropist Mr. Raj Vattikuti and Dr. Mahendra Bhandari of the Vattikuti Foundation, sponsor of the Awards participated to the program.

This edition of the KS Awards was honored by the presence of a special presenter, Mrs. Malini Subrahmaniam, widow of the late Shri Kishnaswami Subrahmaniam.

2019 November

The top videos from the KS National Robotic Surgery Video Awards as selected at the 2019 Robotic Surgeons Council of India were all screened at the RSC Meeting on November 16th 2019 in Pondicherry, and selected by a special panel of judges.

The September 2015 meeting of the Robotic Surgeons Council of India hosted a special video contest resulting in the awarding of the first KS Awards honoring the late Vattikuti Technologies C. E. O., Krishnaswamy Subrahmaniam. Presenting the awards were Vattikuti Technologies current C. E. O. Gopal Chakravarthy and Intuitive Surgical Senior V. P. Asia Pacific and Global Distribution Jeroen van Heesewijk.
