Fellowship Application

The Vattikuti Foundation will select the ultimate institution the Vattikuti Fellow will be assigned to, based on the applicant’s needs.  Please note:  this is a highly competitive program.  Applicants may apply for one (1) or two (2) Fellowship postings on their application, based on their qualifications.  If you do wish to be considered for more than one Fellowship, please list them in order of preference.

By applying, you certify that you are willing and able to relocate to any location within India the Fellowship would be hosted at. Applicants should be within 10-years of earning their advanced degree in a  specialty which currently uses surgical robotics.

All entry documents must be clearly identified at the top with the applicant's full name and email, digital file names MUST include the applicant's name. Early entries are encouraged, due to the volume of applications expected, but all will be processed and considered.  All Awards, Publications and achievements in Medicine count.  Make your application the best it can be!  

NOTE:  Plagiarized applications will be rejected; Current Institution officials will be notified.

Applicants must be prepared to join Fellowships within 30-days of notice of selection.  Actual starting date will be coordinated with the Foundation, Sponsor Institution & Fellowship Director.  Housing may be arranged through  some Sponsor Institutions but is not covered by the Vattikuti Foundation- this is the Fellows' responsibility, as would be moving expenses. 

The Fellow must agree to all institution rules and policies.  Those not complying with terms of the Vattikuti Fellowship, Host Institution or Mentor Surgeon are subject to termination of the fellowship. Vattikuti Foundation, Mentor Surgeons, and Sponsor Institution representatives will participate in the judging.

Please submit your application form below. Allow at least 48-hours for a response.

Application must include:
  1. Cover letter explaining which Fellowship(s) the applicant wishes to be considered for as well as the reasons for applying. Spelling and grammar count, one page minimum.
  2. Current CV/ Resume with accurate personal information. Please include PubMed listed publications; conference presentations/posters; robotic surgery training certificates (if any); Awards in Medicine.
  3. High Resolution photo.
  4. Letters of recommendation from your professors, colleagues, and department head (one minimum, more suggested).
  5. Affidavit from your current Institution providing you with confirmation of release from your duties within 30-days, should you be selected as a Vattikuti Fellow.
