Problem- Distal rectal transection below the puborectalis is always challenging in a narrow pelvis. Often, margins are close because it is not done under vision Solution- Good circumferential mobilsation and mobilisation below the puborectalis sling facilitates pull through. Following this, linear stapled line transection can be performed under vision with measured margin hence negating technical difficulties of stapling Solution’s innvation- Robotic articulating endowristed instrumetation helps with good dissection in a narrow pelvis especially below the level of pubrectalis.
