573 Intraoperative Proctosigmoidoscopy After Bowel Endometriosis Surgery: A Retrospective Evaluation

Bowel endometriosis requires either Rectal wall shaving or Anterior disc resection or Resection anastomosis to excise the endometriosis nodule. Peritoneal leak after this has high rate of morbidity and at times mortality. Use of sigmoidoscopy intraop to confirm complete excision and ensure good seal makes it safer to do such surgeries.
