632 Robot-Assisted Heminephrectomy with Ureterectomy for a Complete Duplex System: A Technical Perspective

Dr. Guatam Choudhary

Surgery for this benign condition can be associated with complications such as urine leakage and ischemia to the remaining ureter. During complex partial nephrectomies, we typically utilize 3D printing for preoperative planning and indocyanine green (ICG) intraoperatively to guide vascular clamping. Given the rarity and complexity of this procedure, we aimed to simplify the surgical approach while minimizing the risk of the aforementioned complications. Using the da Vinci Xi robotic system, we incorporated 3D-printed models to guide intraoperative navigation. Additionally, ICG was employed to perform a heminephrectomy without the need for hilar clamping. By leveraging advanced technology and adjunct tools, we were able to perform this complex surgery safely and without complications
