The vaginal route has been proven to be the least invasive route of hysterectomy. However, the adoption of the vaginal route has decreased significantly. vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) hysterectomy is a relatively new procedure that has the potential to increase the adoption of the vaginal route of hysterectomy.
